Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The internet is a fast evolving place, and those who don’t develop with it are likely to fall by the wayside. One of the ways to make sure that your website and business gets the attention it deserves is to take steps to help visitors find you. This requires a combination of marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
It doesn’t matter if you have the most beautiful website in the world, with the best products available, at the best prices. If people don’t know you exist, they can’t buy from you.
Am I an Expert?
I have never described myself as a Search Engine expert before. I have actually been hesitant about claiming any expertise in this area because I have come across a lot of people who claim to get you on page one of Google, and then fail to deliver – or they get you on page one for some obscure search term that nobody ever uses. I’ve heard dozens of sad tales of unfulfilled SEO expectations.
Maybe I Am…
Yesterday (May 4th 2010), I was surprised to find that my SEO efforts on a few of my own websites have resulted in me getting some pretty remarkable rankings – like number five out of 72.4 million sites on Google for the word “happiness”. As you can imagine, this is a pretty common word.
Have a look at the screenshots below. The actual rankings change from day to day, but it is generally agreed that being on page one is what we should aim for.
This is quite impressive, even if I do say so myself!

Can I Help You Do The Same?
I can’t make any promises, but I can certainly take your site(s) through the same process that I went through for my own sites. It would require a lot of work from me, and a fair amount from you, but together we should be able to improve your rankings.
If you are using a blog that I recently set up for you, you have a jump on most other blogs, as there is a unique SEO plugin being worked on that will revolutionize the effectiveness of WordPress SEO.
Because there are no short cuts or tricks to it (despite what you may hear to the contrary) each site takes a lot of dedicated time. My time is likely to cost you $1000 or more, but the potential benefits are huge. If this is more than your budget allows, we could scale it down to keep within an affordable range.
It’s like the difference between having a store at the hub of the commercial district and being stuck in some suburban back alley.
If this sounds like something you’d like to do, let me know and I’ll call you. We can have a chat about it.
